Where do we meet?

At your home or office, or another appropriate location of your choice.

How long is a session?

1 - 2 hours is typical, though we can go longer depending on your needs and our respective schedules.

¿Hablas español?

Lo siento, no.

My friend and I both need help on the same topic -- can the two of us be in one session?

Within reason and fee-adjustment, yes, I can accommodate a group.

Can't I just get free help at my local library?

Maybe! Some libraries provide tech support. However, most will not make home visits and might be otherwise lacking in one way or another. Still, if you can find what you need for free, I encourage you to use it.

I found "Mark's Tech Support" on Facebook, located in East Setauket. Is that you?

No. I do not have a Facebook Business Page, and that page has been inactive for over a decade.

About Mark  (tap to expand)

I'm a 30-something former public librarian with an academic background in writing, visual art, and philosophy. Aside from providing tech support, I'm a semi-professional artist and general jack-of-all-trades.

I was born at a sweet spot for technology -- while I do remember life before PCs and the internet, my elementary school got their first computer lab while I was in 2nd grade, my home got dial-up internet when I was in middle school, and Facebook took off just as I was starting college.

However, I resisted getting a smartphone until 2018 -- more than 10 years after the first iPhone hit the market.

Why did I wait? Because people do spend too much time on their phones. Because, probably like you, I like time spent away from technology. But sometimes it's unavoidable, or at least ends up being easier than fighting the current.

My goal is not to convert folks into technology-lovers, but rather make them feel more comfortable with the tech that they want (or have) to use.

So give me a call and let's get those tech bugaboos ironed out.
